Performance Awards Scheme

Collect points for every event you attend with your British Spotted Pony throughout 2024 and you could win a beautiful award

How does it work?

The 2024 Performance Scheme is now open!

Available to all BSpPS Registers including Supplementary Appendix, Pintaloosa and Spotted Sport Horse.

Collect points every time you go out with your spotty – see below for the points awarded per outing, log them in your booklet and then send it in at the end of 2024.

What Points do I earn?

3 points awarded for

Showing, hunting, fun rides, pony club, polo, le trec, agility, dressage, showjumping, eventing, driving, cross country, hunter trials, racing, horse ball, vaulting, team chasing, endurance, jump cross.

Points awarded every time the horse/pony takes part in an event/show/attends pony club etc (awarded once per outing)

Additional Points

2 Further points awarded if taking part in one of the above mentioned activities at affiliated level, or County Level for showing.

4 Further points if the affiliated level is at or above elementary dressage, novice eventing, grade B showjumping, or Area level for Showing

6 Further points if the affiliated level is at or above advanced dressage, intermediate, eventing, grade A showjumping, or National Level for Showing

8 Further points awarded if activity is at International Level

6 Further points awarded for 1st place (or 70% or over dressage only)
5 Further points awarded for 2nd place (or 68% or over dressage only)
4 Further points awarded for 3rd place (or 66% or over dressage only)
3 Further points awarded for 4th place (or 64% or over dressage only)
2 Further points awarded for 5th place (or 62% or over dressage only)
1 Further point awarded for 6th place (or 60% or over dressage only)

2 Further points awarded for Reserve Champion showing
3 Further points awarded for Champion showing
4 Further points awarded for Reserve Reserve Supreme Champion showing
5 Further points awarded for Reserve Supreme Champion showing
6 Further points awarded for Supreme Champion showing

Categories

Separate categories for: 1) Under 42” 2) Over 42” – 14.2hh 3) Spotted Sports Horse

Within those categories, if entries permit:
Separate award for young ponies aged 3 or under unridden
Separate award for best veteran pony aged 17 or over

Overall Champion and Overall Reserve Champion
